Türkiye’de Kedilerde Görülen İlk Platynosomum fastosum Kossack, 1910 Olgusu

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın materyali Türkiye’de Bitlis iline bağlı Tatvan ilçesinde, sahipsiz olup hayvan barınaklarında serbest yaşayan 4 yaşındaki Tekir ırkı dişi bir kedidir. Kedide klinik olarak abdominal şişkinlik ve kusma refleksi şikâyetleri vardı. Yapılan dışkı muayenesinde Platynosomum fastosum yumurtasına rastlanıldı. P. fastosum yumurtası 45x35 µm boyutlarında oval, kalın kabuklu, açık kahverengi ve embriyolu olduğu görüldü. Bu çalışma ile Türkiye’de ilk defa P. fastosum yumurtası tespit edildi.

The First Case of Platynosomum fastosum Kossack, 1910 in Cats in Turkey

Abstract

The material of this study is
a female derelict 4-year-old tabby cat breed living freely at an animal shelter
at Tatvan district of Bitlis in Turkey. The cat had clinical complaints as
abdominal bloating and vomiting reflex. Platynosomum fastosum egg was
observed in the stool examination. P. fastosum egg was 45x35 µm sized, oval, thick-skinned, light brown and embryonated. P. fastosum egg was reported for the first time in
Turkey by this study.
