The aim of this research, according to hospital staff, evaluation
of hospital surgical and internal polyclinics appropriateness to JCI
accreditation standards. In this research, questionnaire method was used.
Questionnaire has two parts. In the first part, independent variables were
featured. In the second part, for preparation of the questionnaire applied to
researchers, quality unit employees and hospital staff involved in the
research, 83 items were created through "JCI Outpatient Care Area Review
Standards". These questions have been translated to Turkish. By seeking
the opinion of expert, it was reduced to 25 items. In the research,
partipicants scores were evaluated by 5-likert type scale. It was presented in
terms of researching methods objectivity by picking applicable equal number of
questionnaires from polyclinics. The research was conducted between August
2014-February 2015. Research population constitute surgical and internal
polyclinics employees (n=411) from 400-bed Samsun Training and Research
Hospital. In the research, any sample was selected and %91,73 (n=377) of
hospital staff could be reached.
Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient was 0.955 of 25 items in
questionnarie were found highly reliable. The data obtained were analyzed using
SPSS for Windows 21.0 program. In terms of education level, duty, personel
status and experience, significant differences were found between employees
appropriateness assessment to JCI accreditation standards. It is thought that
the results of the research will lead to future researches and findings of the
research are expected to provide guidance to health policy administrators.
