Healthcare providers may experience a number of different feelings during their care for individuals in need of healthcare. One of these emotions experienced by their health care providers is a feeling of compassion. Compassion is an important phenomenon for the care that healthcare professionals offer to individuals in need of healthcare. This sense of compassion experienced by healthcare workers can turn into fear of compassion, compassion fatigue or compassion satisfaction over time. These feelings of care providers may have some positive or negative reflections on both themselves and their environment. In this review, based on the feelings of compassion, which is one of the emotions experienced by healthcare professionals, a literature review is made on the concepts of compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction and fear of compassion. Accordingly, it is determined that there is a need for researches on medical doctors and other health personnel to determine compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction and fears of compassion. The study is thought to guide the different studies to be carried out in the future.
