The automobile industry that emerged in Europe is quite a crucial sector not only due to its contributions to production, employment and foreign trade but also due to its importance for various sectors such as iron-steel, glass, electronics and software. In this respect, the automobile sector is accepted as one of the locomotive sectors as it is one of the catalysers of technological development and due to its contributions to the economy. Following this quest electric cars have been initiated to be produced and used. In the study the electric car attitudes of consumers living in the province of Konya are investigated. For that purpose, 222 online questionnaires are made by using Judgement Sampling Technique. The data gathered is analysed with Logistic Regression (Logit) Model and with Nlogit 4.0 econometrics software. As a result of the analysis it is determined that the variables of income, weekly mileage, the level of electric car knowledge, the thought that electric cars are prestigious and the thought that “first domestic electric car, namely TOGG, would affect demand positively” are found to be statistically significant and have positive effects on the eagerness to purchase electric car. In this context, in order electric car sales to increase, household income should increase/be increased, the mileage of electric cars should be increased, the knowledge of electric cars should be increased, the eagerness to purchase electric car of consumers should be increased through giving subsidies to the advertisements of electric cars and the mass production of TOGG should be realised and the price of the car should be determined to be low in order the public to afford it.
