Internet addiction, which is associated with excessive use of the Internet, which is used in almost every stage of life, isolates the individual from the society. At the same time, this excessive use of the internet creates lonely and passive individuals and causes negativities in the daily life of people. In this context, the main purpose of the research is to reveal the direction of the relationship between internet addiction and psychological well-being. The sub-purpose is to determine whether there is a difference between internet addiction and psychological well-being according to sociodemographic variables. The research was carried out on 394 students, 242 female and 152 male, studying at Süleyman Demirel University in the fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. The data obtained in the research were analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 program. In the analysis of the data, exploratory factor analysis, independent sample t-test, correlation and one-way analysis of variance were used. As a result of the research findings, it was determined that there is a negative relationship between internet addiction and psychological well-being.
