Determination of the Most Appropriate Winter Hardiness Test Method for Wheat under Controlled Conditions

In this study, winter hardiness levels of wheat genotypes were determined with 4 different applications. Two different environments were used, soil and Hougland solution. Gradual and stepless cold acclimation periods were applied in both environments. The results were compared statistically with the Binary Logistic model. It was concluded that winter hardiness tests to be carried out in cool climate cereals in controlled conditions should be carried out in soil environment by applying gradual cold acclimation degrees.

Öz
Bu çalışmada buğday genotiplerinin 4 farklı uygulama ile kışa dayanıklılık dereceleri belirlenmiştir. Toprak ve hougland solüsyonu olmak üzere iki farklı ortam kullanılmıştır. Her iki ortamda kademeli ve kademesiz soğuğa alıştırma süreleri uygulanmıştır. Sonuçlar Binary Logistic modeli ile istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırılmıştır. Serin iklim tahıllarında, kontrollü koşularda yapılacak kışa dayanıklılık testlerinin kademeli soğuğa alıştırma dereceleri uygulanarak toprak ortamda yapılması gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır.
