Abstract

Abstract

As a country that gained
its independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the regime for
preventing the spread of nuclear weapons in Kazakhstan played an important role
in security policy. In the first years following independence, Kazakhstan began
to define its priorities, as well as its national interests; The security
policy has taken its course in the direction of the issues related to
destructive Soviet weapons in its territory. The first appearance of Kazakhstan
in the international arena has occurred with the participation of international
agreements on the abolition of these weapons. Nuclear weapons are indispensable
elements of modern geopolitical view.
