Abstract
Enterprise resource planning systems are more different and complex than traditional systems. Complexity of ERP systems causes many risks in practice. These risks are seen in entire organization, ERP system applications and business processes. Being a system with high risks makes ERP systems difficult to apply. Eventhough great amount of investment, resource and time costs ERP does nor guarantee success. The aim of the study is to specify the factors which are needed to be applied for the success of enterprise resource planning systems, to analyze the effect of these factors over enterprise resource planning systems and to make suggestions. The study is explained with an application about companies operating in Turkey and traded in İstanbul Stock Exchange (ISE).
