Abstract
The advancement of technology is in the cycle of eras in the transition from Industry 4 to Industry 5. Groups forcing to adapt to advances in technology are the rapidly aging general world population. The difficulties experienced in the acceptance of technology by the older adult have not been solved as easily as the rapid progress of technology. The older adult, who have difficulty in keeping up with the contemporary process, is tried to be supported with gerontechnology and tele-medicine. In the literature, there is not enough have focus on technology acceptance of the older adult in the technologies developed for the older adults. Another overlooked issue is the possible ethical violations. It is thought that ethical violations may pose vital risks for the elderly when the transition to Industry 5 is completed. This study, aimed to present the cycle from the production stage to the end-user with a general point of view. This perspective will create a new classification that will facilitate the adoption of technology without creating ethical violations in the use of gerontechnological products. The working mechanism of gerontechnological products has been likened to the sensory-motor integration system of the human central nervous system. In the sensory-motor integration system, receptors enable us to perceive stimuli from the environment. The connection between the receptors and the central nervous system is provided by the descending and ascending nerve pathways or hormones. The motor task provides by the organs and the muscular system. Communication of Gerontechnological products with the environment is provided by sensor technology. Decision-making or connection to cloud systems is provided by wired-wireless connections and decision-making is provided by software technology. We can call this gerontechnological system a sensory-soft response integration system. As a result, innovation in perspective will dominate every view of gerontechnology. It will enable to determine the most suitable technological system for the older adult in Industry 4.0 and 5.0. In the new gerontechnological device design and production process, the most suitable sensor, transmission system and processing technological material will be selected for the needs of the older adult.
