BİLGİ VE İLETİŞİM TEKNOLOJİLERİNİN EKONOMİK BÜYÜME ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİNİN İNCELENMESİ: G7 ÜLKELERİ ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada son zamanlarda adından sıkça söz edilen bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerine yapılan yatırım ile gayri safi yurtiçi hasıla arasındaki ilişkinin var olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Çalışmada örneklem grubu olarak G7 ülkeleri tercih edilmiştir. Veriler 1990-2010 yılları arasını kapsamaktadır. Çalışmada LLC testi ile değişkenlere yönelik birim kök testi uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca PMG (Pooled Mean Group) analizi ile uzun ve kısa dönemli ilişkinin var olup olmadığının tespiti gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda BİT’e yapılan yatırımlar ile GDP değişkeni arasında uzun dönemde pozitif olmak üzere, kısa dönemde ise Kanada, Amerika ve Japonya’da negatif bir ilişkinin varlığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca panel VAR ve Granger nedensellik testleri uygulanmıştır.
