The aim of this research is to determine the degrees of time use of primary school teachers. To determine time use of teachers, time traps that they encounter and time management methods of teachers; the views of teachers about time use, time traps and time management have been analyzed according to the variables of their gender, professional seniority, their schools being a double shift school or not, their branch and the district they are working in.The population consists of primary school teacher from Bağcılar, Bahçelievler and Güngören districts. 536 primary school teachers have been determined by adequate sample method with 95% confidence interval and margin of error in the population. In analysis, unpaired t test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) for unpaired sample and to determine the direction of difference among the groups Tukey have been used. In conclusion, it is discovered that teachers exhibit behavior of arriving school on time at most and behavior of preparing a time schedule at least. When the results of one-way analysis of variance of teachers’ time use, a huge difference has been observed in time use according to professional seniority. In relation to time traps, the difference among the students’ educational level has been the most frequent and the making parent-teacher meetings during class hour have been the least frequent time traps. In relation to time management, teachers use starting and finishing the class on time at most frequency and not-admitting the late comer students to the class methods at least frequency. When time management dimension has been analyzed according to the class hours, it has been discovered that teachers of double shift school use time less efficiently than teachers of whole-day school teachers.
