Abstract
As a response to new dynamic marketplace, which was emerging
towards the end of 20th century, it was observed that prevalance of project
type temporary systems emerged, in lieu of classical permanent organizational
systems. Organizational citizenship behavior was re-examined by academics with
a scope on temporary systems and project
citizenship behaviour construct was developed. Its extensive heritage from
organizational citizenship behaviour aside, it was determined that specific
nature of projects echoed in dimensions of citizenship. Quantitave research
from some academics showed that project citizenship behavior bears reasonable
effect on the performance of projects. Purpose of this study is to examine the
academical progress of the PVD concept in detail and to present the dimensions
of construct and initiate a discussion on it.
