Chair-side CAD-CAM Applications

Öz
The rapid development of digital dentistry has led to the broad use of computer-aided design and manufacturing processes, especially for the prosthetic restorations. CAD-CAM applications allow for fast and comfortable preparation of prosthetic restorations for both physician and patient. Today, the increased variety of materials makes it possible to produce minimal-invasive restorations practically. "Chair-side" applications refer to materials and digital systems that enable one-session restorations. It is necessary for successful restorations to use digital systems correctly and to be able to select material for each case by well recognizing the available restorative materials. This study aims to describe the types of restorative materials available for up-to-date digital systems and chair-side applications.

Öz
Dijital diş hekimliğinin hızlı bir şekilde gelişmesi bilgisayar destekli tasarım ve üretim sürecinin özellikle protetik alanda geniş kullanım alanı bulmasını sağlamıştır. CAD-CAM uygulamaları, protetik restorasyonların hem hekim hem de hasta açısından konforlu ve hızlı bir şekilde hazırlanmasına olanak tanır. Günümüzde materyal çeşitliliğinin artmasıyla minimal invaziv restorasyonların pratik bir şekilde üretilmesi mümkün olmaktadır. “Hasta başı” uygulamaları tek seansta restorasyonun tamamlanabileceği materyalleri ve dijital sistemleri tanımlamaktadır. Başarılı restorasyonlar için dijital sistemleri doğru kullanmak ve mevcut restoratif materyalleri iyi tanıyarak her vakaya uygun materyal seçimini yapabilmek gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada güncel dijital sistemler ve hasta başı uygulamalarında kullanılabilen restoratif materyal çeşitlerinin anlatılması amaçlanmaktadır.
