The Mediating Role of Workaholism on the Relationship between Organizational Commitment and Performance

Öz

Positive
effect of organizational commitment on the sustainable competitiveness of
organization  is broadly  accepted through business world. Besides
researches in which positive results of organizational commitment are observed
there are also researches in which negative results of organizational
commitment are observed. Workaholism which is accepted as negative result of
organizational commitment is explained as an irrestibel drive to work
incessantly. Performance states the positive outputs of employees which are in
line with organizational targets. In this research model in which positive
effect of organizational commitment will be decreased by workaholism. 155
employees of a organization in Sinop are composing sample group. According to
results of analyses partial mediation effect of workaholism is observed.

İşkolikliğin Örgütsel Bağlılık ve Performans Arasındaki İlişkide Aracı Rolü

Öz

Örgütsel
bağlılığın işletmelerin sürdürülebilir rekabet avantajına olan olumlu etkisi iş
hayatında her geçen gün daha fazla kabul edilen bir gerçeklik olmaktadır.
Örgütsel bağlılığın olumlu sonuçlarının gözlemlendiği araştırmaların yanında
bazı araştırmalarda olumsuz sonuçları da gözlenmektedir. Örgütsel bağlılığın
olumsuz sonuçlarından bir tanesi olarak gözlenen işkoliklik davranışlar
çalışanların kendilerini sürekli çalışmaktan alıkoyamamasını ifade etmektedir.
Performans çalışanların örgütlerin amaçları doğrultusundaki olumlu çıktılarını
ifade etmektedir. İşkolikliğin performans üzerinde örgütsel davranışın olumlu
etkisinin azaltacağının öngörüldüğü araştırma modelinde veriler SPSS 21 ve
Process 3.0 kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Sinop ilinde faaliyet gösteren bir
işletmenin 155 çalışanı araştırma örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin analiz
sonuçlarına göre işkolikliğin örgütsel davranış ve performans arasında kısmi
aracılık etkisi gözlenmiştir.
