ABSTRACT
In the period from the last period of the Ottoman Empire to the Modern Republic, tough conflicts took place between the government and the opposition. So much so that these conflicts generally resulted in the government's elimination of opposition cadres in the political and military bureaucracy. II. This liquidation process, which has been frequently observed since the proclamation of the Constitutional Monarchy, has also been one of the political routines of the Early Republican period. Thus, as a result of the struggle carried out by the administrators of the new regime to seize the state ranks over time, the purges will be continued on certain grounds. Especially during the National Struggle period, Heyet-i Mahsusalar will be established to carry out the cleansing of those working against them or the bureaucracy alleged to be working. The main purpose of the study is to examine how the power-opposition conflicts provide a basis for the purges made in the political and military bureaucracy and how the purges on this issue are carried out through Heyet-i Mahsusalar.
