Typography stands out in place branding as a bridge that brings together different sectors such as city branding, nation branding, brand communication, tourism and marketing sector. Designs that have the right relationship between form and function enable place brands to be noticed within the localty or locally, nationally and internationally, and to stand out among other brands. This research focused on relativeness of the typographic elements by considering the relationship between place branding and typography. In this study, in which typography is examined by considering the principles of graphic design, the importance and benefit of typography within the scope of place brands is explained. In the structuring of typographic applications of place branding, the duties of agencies, graphic designers and typographers in order to correctly determine and implement the design needs have been determined.
