nedenle yüzleri tanıma ve hatırlama yeteneği, insanın sosyal işlevselliği için
çok önemlidir. Bu işlevler için, gyrus occipitalis inferior’da occipital yüz
alanı, gyrus fusiformis’te fusiform yüz alanı ve sulcus temporalis superior'daki
yüz ifade alanı gibi birbiriyle ilişkili beyin bölgeleri fonksiyon görmektedir.

Öz
People recognise each other with faces.
For this reason, the ability to recognize and remember faces is very important
for the social functioning of a person. For these processes involve a network
of interrelated brain regions including, such as occipital face area in
inferior occipital gyrus, fusiform face area in fusiform gyrus and facial
expression recognition area in superior temporal sulcus.
