An Ur III Period Tablet from the Anatolian Civilizations Museum (Ankara)

Öz

One of the nearly 90 thousand Neo-Sumerian tablets scattered in hundreds of Museums of so many countries is held at the Anatolian Civilisation Museum in Ankara. The current article introduces this tablet, numbered 19-1-2019, which entered the museum’s inventory book by way of purchase. This small text with 18 lines is a loan contract dated to the 5th month of the 4th year of Amar-Su’en, one of the Ur III kings. The document is related to 5 shekels of silver, the debth of Ur-šul to Ur-sukkal.

ANADOLU MEDENİYETLERİ MÜZESİNDEN (ANKARA) BİR III. UR DEVRİ TABLETİ

Öz

Dünyanın birçok ülkesindeki yüzlerce müzeye dağılmış durumdaki yaklaşık 90 bin Yeni Sumerce tabletten birisi de Anakara Anadolu Medeniyetleri Müzesinde korunmaktadır. Bu makalede Anadolu Medeniyetleri Müzesi envanterine satın alım yoluyla girmiş 19-1-2019 numaralı bu çivi yazılı tablet tanıtılmaktadır. 18 satırdan oluşan bu küçük belge 3. Ur Devleti kralı Amar-Su’en’in dördüncü yılının beşinci ayına tarihli bir borç mukavelesidir. Belgede Ur-šul’un Ur-sukkal’e borçlu oluğu 5 šeqel gümüş konu edilmiştir.
