Social theory, which emerged parallel to the change of social and socio-economic balances with the Renaissance, has been known as an intellectual Western initiative that stands on the “new”. The basic dynamics of social theory were determined by intellectuals of the period to produce a new type under the nature of the subject in the economic, political and administrative bases and to analyze the type produced. While social theory is concerned not only with explaining social reality but also with creating a global subject character that produces it and allows it to continue its action, it has made an effort to base these stages on scientific insights. In this context, the foundations of social theory have been built on different methodology, and the structure, that is, the new order, has been tried to be explained. Analysis of social theory in positivist and hermeneutic methodology revealed that a new social structure could be constructed. The study was covered in a descriptive research model in qualitative pattern. As a result of the research, it was concluded that an objective science character related to social life and social formations could not be described, and the analyzes may be subject-related deficiencies, and that both hermeneutical and positivism examine the problems of the social structure differently, but both could be used as research patterns in social sciences.
