This study was carried out at the experimental fields of the Nazilli Cotton Research Institute between 2008 and 2009. The aim of the study was to determine the reactions of the new cotton genotypes which were developed at the Institute to verticillium wilt disease and to evaluate yield and some fiber quality parameters. For this reason, all mid-long thirteen cotton genotypes including Çukurova 1518 susceptibile, Aydın 110 standard and Carmen varieties tolerant were first evaluated for reactions to Verticillium dahliae Kleb. in pot trials at growth room. And then the field experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design with four replicates in naturally infested field with cotton wilt disease and background of V. dahliae inoculum (69 ms/g). Results of growth room studies showed that diseases intensity value higher than field experiments. The results indicated that differences among cotton genotypes were found significant for all of the investigated characteristics. Among the genotypes which were tested in years 2008 and 2009, 1011 (0.74), 211 (0.78), 305 (0.79) and 405 (0.79) cotton genotypes were determined most tolerant than the other long fiber cotton genotypes. As a seed cotton yield, the genotypes of 1001 (336.5 kg/da) was the least yield while 211 (417.6 kg/da), 405 (416.8 kg/da) and 305 (414.9 kg/da) genotypes were found to be higher yield. The cotton genotypes 607 (32.9 mm), 408 (32.8 mm) and 305 (32.6 mm) were found to be the best fiber quality properties.
