Classical Arabic literature sources have examined many events in Arab social life from a humor perspective. As changing as funny events also characters changes and a collection of pretty rich humorous characters is emerges. One of the characters discussed in terms of humor in rabic literary texts is the orators. Interesting situations that the preachers faced when addressing people were discussed in many anecdotes. In this article, it is aimed to identify and evaluate humorous narratives about orators. The related anecdotes were classified according to the place and time of the oratory and the reasons why the orators were humorous were determined. Through the anecdotes examined during the study, the attitude of the listeners with each other was revealed and the clues of the Arab society’s relations with rhetoric and orator are also revealed.
