Nutritional approaches in uterine myomas

Uterine fibroids, which can occur frequently in the female reproductive system, are a worldwide health problem. Uterine fibroids, which can be seen mostly as symptomless, can also manifest themselves with problems such as pelvic pain, abdominal bloating, and reproductive problems. Although the development of uterine fibroids is associated with many epidemiological factors, the underlying mechanism is not fully understood. Risk factors for uterine fibroids include age, heredity, hormonal factors, reproductive factors, anthropometric characteristics, nutrition, alcohol and caffeine, and physical activity. Among these factors, when the studies on nutrition were examined, it was seen that especially oil, vegetables and fruits, vitamins, and dairy products were emphasized. It is thought that the consumption of vegetables and fruits and vitamin D levels, which are among these nutritional factors, may be related to uterine fibroids, but it seems that more studies are needed.
