The
long-run relationship between natural gas consumption and economic growth is
investigated in this study. The definition of this relationship has great
importance in determining appropriate sustainable growth policies. For this
purpose, using panel data from 8 MENA countries, a long-term relationship
between natural gas consumption and economic growth is investigated for the
period 1989-2014. As a result of the econometric analyzes, the existence of the
cointegration relation between natural gas consumption and economic growth and
statistically significant long term coefficients are determined. Long-run
coefficients show that natural gas consumption affects economic growth
positively.

Çalışmada
doğalgaz tüketimi ile iktisadi büyüme arasındaki uzun dönemli ilişki
incelenmektedir.
