With the emergence and popularization of Web 2.0 technologies, individuals enable more active participation, not only to access to information, but also to create and share content. In this study, it is aimed to determine the current trends in the researches about the use of Web 2.0 technologies in the development of lifelong learning skills in the last twelve years (2006-2018). For this purpose; ERIC and SSCI indexed journals, which are related to the field, were selected and analyzed by using 11 article purposeful sampling methods including "Lifelong learning skills and Web 2.0, Web 2.0 and lifelong learning skills, Web 2.0 and adults". A Classification Form which is prepared by the researchers was used for the analysis of the articles. The articles were analyzed in detail in a descriptive way, including the subject, method, data collection tools, sample and data analysis methods. The data obtained as results of the scans are presented with tables and graphs based on percentage and frequency. Based on the data obtained, according to the findings obtained from the studies on current trends in research on the use of Web 2.0 tools in the development of lifelong learning skills; it has been reached that in publications blogs and social media platforms are the most used, the number of publications is increasing, the qualitative method is used most, the sample is 18-35 years, an implementation that does not include large audiences hasn’t been carried out, the most studied variables were self-directed learning and social learning.
