Türkiye'de Kadın ve Erkek Perspektifinden Aile Planlaması ve Erkek Kondomu: Nitel Bir Araştırma

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, gebeliği önleyici yöntem olarak erkek kondomu kullanan kadın ve erkeklerin yönteme ve aile planlamasına ilişkin görüşlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Yöntem: Nitel desende gerçekleştirilen araştırmanın örneklemini amaçlı örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilmiş ve cinsiyetlerine göre kategorize edilmiş 12 kadın ve 13 erkek oluşturmuştur.
Bulgular: Bu çalışma sonucunda erkek kondomu yöntemini kullanan kadın ve erkeklerin bulguları beş tema altında toplanmıştır. Temalar erkek kondomu karar verme süreci, erkek kondomunun cinsel yaşam üzerindeki etkisi, erkek kondomunun algılanan dezavantajları, aile planlaması kullanımında cinsiyet, aile planlaması kullanımında inançlardır.
Sonuç: Bu çalışmada erkeklerin çevreden duyarak erkek kondomu kullanmaya karar verdikleri, cinsel duyumlarının azaldığı, plastik/madde hissi yaşadıkları ve maliyetli buldukları saptanmıştır. Kadınların temiz olması ve çevreden işitilmesi, hazzın azalması, masraflı olması ve cinsel hayatlarını olumsuz etkilemesi nedeniyle tercih ettikleri belirlendi.

Family Planning and Men's Condom from the Perspective of Women and Men in Turkey: A Qualitative Study

Öz

Objective: In this study, it was aimed to examine the opinions of men and women who use male condoms as a contraceptive method, regarding the method and family planning.
Methods: The sample of the study, which was carried out in a qualitative design, was chosen by the purposeful sampling method and consisted of 12 women and 13 men, categorized according to their genders.
Results: As a result of this study, the findings of men and women using the male condom method were grouped under five themes. Themes are male condom decision making process, the effect of male condom on sexual life, disadvantages perceived by the male condom, gender in the use of family planning, beliefs in the use of family planning.
Conclusion: This study was found that men decided to use male condoms by hearing from the environment, reduced sexual sensation, had a feeling of plastic / substance and found it costly. It was determined that women preferred it because they were clean and heard from the environment, reduced pleasure, was costly and negatively affected their sexual life.
