Organizational gossip; It is expressed as a speech about the managers of the employees, their colleagues or any person in the workplace. Gossip made within the organization can affect both employees and managers negatively. In this study, it was aimed to examine the effect of organizational gossip on job stress. The sample of the research consists of 182 employees of two yarn factories operating in Kahramanmaraş. The data were collected between March 23, 2019 and April 19, 2019. The collected data were analyzed using reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, t test, ANOVA, correlation and simple linear regression analysis. The results show that the sub-dimensions of organizational gossip (work-related gossip, non-work-related gossip) are positively related to the job stress variable. It reveals that organizational gossip and its sub-dimensions have a positive effect on job stress. In addition to organizational gossip; differentiation of gender, position in the workplace, education, working time at the firm was examined. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that there was no gender difference in the non-work-related gossip sub-dimension of organizational gossip, and there was a significant difference in the work-related gossip sub-dimension.
