In these days when we are experiencing the coronavirus pandemic, we have once again realized how viral infections can change our life dynamics and their destructive power. Viral diseases have been life-threatening by causing epidemics and pandemics for humans and other organisms since the world existed. These outbreaks, which caused the death or culling of millions of animals, brought the need for protection and treatment. Although there are effective antiviral treatment alternatives for some viral diseases in humans and animals, treatment options are still very limited. In this article, some of antiviral agents that can be used in veterinary medicine and have been studied in vivo were evaluated over viral diseases in cats.
