Öz
Periferik intravenöz kateterler hastaneye kabul edilen hastalarda en sık gerçekleştirilen hemşirelik uygulamalarından biridir. Periferik intravenöz kateterler uygulaması, işlem basamaklarına uygun yapılmadığında birçok komplikasyon gelişmektedir. Bu komplikasyonlardan en sık görüleni flebittir. Bu derlemenin flebit ile ilişkili faktörlerin belirlenmesine ve flebit gelişimini önleyici uygulamaların benimsenmesine katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.
