Öz

Uluslararası ilişkilerde bir alt alan olan güvenlik, alandaki çalışmaların tümünün doğrudan ya da dolaylı bir bağlamını oluşturur. Sahip olduğu anlamsal genişlik itibarıyla, çözümlemelerde birimler üzerinden ifade edilmesi zorunlu olan güvenlik kavramı, günümüzde bu birimler arasındaki etkileşimin ölçülebilir sınırları aşmış olmasıyla yeni ve kaçınılmaz bir genişlemeye uğramış gibi görünmektedir. Bu anlamda güvenliğin referans nesnesinin düşünsel dönüşümünün anlamlandırılması, güvenlik çalışmalarının temel yaklaşımlarının sağlamlaştırılması noktasında zorunlu bir aşama olarak karşımıza çıkar. Bu çalışmada, bahsi geçen dönüşüm, konu ile ilgili kuramsal tartışmaların betimlenmesi ve yorumlanması yöntemiyle ele alınmıştır

THE REFERENT OBJECT PROBLEMATIC OF SECURITY IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: A CONCEPTUAL ANALYSIS FROM CLASSIC TO CONTEMPORARY

Öz

The concept of security, a subfield of international relations, takes part in all studies of the field directly or indirectly. There is a necessity to describe the concept via the units of analysis due to its semantic wideness. Nowadays, the concept seems to be widened inevitably once again with the exceeding of the interaction between these units the measurable limits. In this sense, the explanation of the intellectual transformation of the referent object arises as an imperative stage for the security studies with regards to theoretical framework. In this study, the mentioned transformation will be examined over theoretical discussions on the subject with descriptive method.
