Flexible urbanism is defined as adopting urban places for different functions, usages, and users without radical changes or newly constructed. Flexibility in open urban spaces gains importance especially in emergent situations. The aim of the study is discussed to open urban spaces as parks opportunities and requirements in the context of their usage after a natural disaster. In the scope of the research, applying observation and document analysis within the framework of qualitative research methods, a comparison and documentation table was formed according to defined criterias from literature review and was conducted on the earthquake that occurred on 6th February 2023, in Turkey. According to the table, although all examined parks have different place identity, they have potential to become flexible open urban space. Consequently, flexibility of the open urban spaces, if designed in the accurate way, will form a great solution and help in providing better living conditions for people who are forced to stay out or without houses in any urgent condition with enough equipment and in the quickest way.
