Artırılmış Gerçeklik Üzerine Son Gelişmelerin ve Uygulamaların İncelenmesi

Öz

Bu makalede, günümüzde oldukça popüler
olan Artırılmış Gerçeklik (AG) teknolojisi alanındaki son gelişmeler ve
uygulamalar incelenmiştir. Verilerin ve görüntülerin gerçek dünya görüntülerine
eklenmesiyle zenginleştirilmiş bir ortam oluşturan AG ilk kullanıma başlandığı yıllarda
dijital araçların yetersiz kabiliyetleri sebebiyle gelişimi sınırlı, kullanımı
lüks, yapımı zahmetli bir teknoloji olarak görülmekteyken günümüzdeki yazılım
ve donanım alanındaki gelişmelerle birlikte uygulama alanı genişleyerek sanayi,
eğitim, trafik, sağlık, spor, eğlence ve askeri alanlarda yaygın olarak
kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Uygulama alanının çeşitliliği ve günümüzdeki
bilimsel gelişmeler, “AG Teknolojisi” kavramını genişleterek “AG Ortamları” kavramını
ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu inceleme çalışmasında AG teknolojisini ve bu teknoloji
ile yapılmış örnek ortam uygulamalarını konu alan ulusal ve uluslararası
akademik çalışmalar ile özel sektör uygulamaları incelenerek çalışmaların
ayrıntıları, özgün (güçlü ve zayıf) yanları, uygulama alanları, kullanım
amaçlarına yönelik değerlendirmeler sunulmuştur.
