Öz

Onkoloji hemşireliğinin amacı; toplumda kanseri
önleme, bireylere sağlıklı bir yaşam şekli kazandırma, hastaların ve ailelerin
işlevlerini en üst düzeyde sürdürmelerini sağlama ve yaşam kalitesini
artırmaktır. Kanserin tanı ve tedavi sürecinin yanı sıra hastanın var olan
durumu ve yaşadığı problemlere yönelik olan bakım desteği göz ardı
edilmemelidir. Ortaya çıkan semptomlar tedaviyi sürdürmeyi, yaşam kalitesini ve
morbidite ve mortaliteyi etkilediğinden onkoloji hemşireliğinde semptom
yönetimi önemli bir alandır. Bu derlemenin amacı onkoloji hemşireliğinde
semptom yönetimini ele almaktır.
