Öz

Bu çalışmada, Eliade’nin mitlerin tanımı ve mitlerin özellikleriyle ilgili saptamalarından yola çıkarak, başta Straus, Durand, Brunel olmak üzere bazı araştırmacı ve kuramcıların, edebiyat ve mitlere yaklaşımlarını, edebiyat-mit/mitler arasındaki karşılıklı etkileşim ve bu etkileşimin yol açtığı değişim ve dönüşümle ilgili farklı bakış açılarını edebi mit/mitlerin oluşumu çerçevesinde irdelemeyi denedik. Edebiyat ve mitler arasındaki ilişkiyi ele alırken, edebiyat tarafından kullanılma biçimlerini göz önünde bulundurarak, mit ve mitoloji kavramalarını birlikte değerlendirmenin daha uygun olacağını düşündük. Zira, mitlerin edebiyat tarafından kullanılmasına başka bir deyişle, yeniden yazılmasına bağlı olarak ortaya çıkan değişim ve dönüşümlerle ilgili yapılan tartışma, yorum ve örneklemelerde, mitlerdeki ve mitlerin daha sistematik  hale getirilmiş anlatım biçimleri olan mitolojilerdeki öykü ve figürlerin genellikle birlikte ele alındığı ve iç içe geçtiği gözlemlenmektedir. Bu gözlem, özellikle edebiyat bağlamında, mitlerin ve mitolojilerin birbirlerinden ayrı değerlendirilemeyeceğini gösterir. Edebi mitlerin oluşum sürecini ve beraberinde ortaya çıkan tartışmaları bu bağlamda ele alarak değerlendirmenin, zaman zaman iç içe geçecek derecede gerçekleşen edebiyat ve mitler arasındaki ilişkinin ve bu ilişkinin boyutlarının   -etkileşim ve yakınlaşmanın-  anlaşılmasına katkı sağlayabileceği düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, bazı düşünür ve kuramcıların bakış açılarına değinmekle birlikte, sorunu genel bir çerçeve içinde ele almayı yeğledik.  Bu nedenle, mitlerin ve edebi mitlerin çözümlenmesiyle ilgilenen düşünür ve kuramcıların görüşlerini ayrı ayrı derinlemesine incelemenin daha yararlı olacağını düşünerek başlığı “Edebi Mitler Üzerine I” olarak koymayı uygun gördük.

In this study, which is based on the determination of Eliade about the definition and the characteristics of myths, approaches of some researcher and theorists notably Straus, Durand and Brunel to literature and myths, interaction between literature-myth/myths and different perspectives related to the change and the transformation which are caused by this interaction are scrutinised within the frame of literary myth/myths formation. By taking into consideration the ways they are used in literature, it is thought that it is more appropriate to examine the terms, myth and mythology together while the relationship between literature and myth are handled. Yet, it is observed that the use of myth in literature, and mythology which is more systematic narrative styles of myths in the discussions that are related with the changes and transformations as a result of rewriting, in the comments and the samplings, is generally handled and also intervened with tales and figures in myths. This observation shows that myths and mythology cannot be evaluated separately especially in literature. It is believed that to evaluate the formation of the literary myths and the related discussions can contribute to understand the close relationship between literature and myths and the dimensions of this relationship which are interaction and intimacy. In this study, along with mentioning the perspectives of some philosopher and theorists, it is preferred to handle the problem in a broader frame. Thus, this study is entitled as “On Literary Myths I” since it is decided that it will be more useful to examine the perspectives of the philosopher and theorists who deal with the analysis of myths and literary myths in depth.
