COVID-19: Nutrition Strategies, Guidelines and Recommendations

Öz

COVID-19 is a disease that emerged in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019, transmitted from person to person through droplets and spread all over the world in a short time and declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization. Currently, there is no confirmed treatment method for the disease. Therefore, it is very important to minimize the risk of infection by strengthening the immune system with a healthy and balanced diet. In this process, many national and international nutrition organizations and health societies emphasize the importance of nutrition and dietitian. The purpose of this review is to review the literature on healthy nutrition of individuals against the disease during the pandemic process, and to present practices and recommendations for the maintenance, improvement and protection of health in the light of guidelines published by relevant national and international organizations.

COVID-19: Beslenme Stratejileri, Kılavuzlar ve Öneriler

Öz

COVID-19, Çin’in Wuhan şehrinde 2019 yılı sonlarında ortaya çıkan, damlacık yoluyla insandan insana bulaşan ve kısa zamanda tüm dünyaya yayılarak Dünya Sağlık Örgütü tarafından pandemi olarak ilan edilen bir hastalıktır. Hastalığın günümüzde kesin olarak doğrulanmış bir tedavi yöntemi bulunmamaktadır. Dolayısıyla sağlıklı ve dengeli beslenme ile bağışıklık sisteminin güçlendirilerek enfeksiyon riskini en aza indirmek oldukça önemlidir. Bu süreçte ulusal ve uluslararası birçok beslenme otoriteleri ve sağlık kuruluşları, beslenmenin ve diyetisyenin önemini vurgulamaktadır. Bu derlemenin amacı, pandemi sürecinde hastalığa karşı bireylerin sağlıklı beslenmesine ilişkin literatür bilgilerini gözden geçirerek ilgili ulusal ve uluslararası kuruluşlar tarafından yayınlanmış olan rehberler ışığında sağlığın sürdürülmesi, iyileştirilmesi ve korunmasına yönelik uygulamaları ve önerileri sunmaktır.
