Background: The stabilization of the tooth exposed to dental trauma is one of the important factors in the healing of both the tooth and the adjacent tissues. Various types of splint and methods are used according to trauma. The aim of this in vitro study is to evaluate the periotest results of various splint methods commonly used in clinical practice.

Methods: In this study, 30 extracted, fixed anterior teeth placed in acrylic models were used. The teeth were divided into 5 groups, one of them as control group. 4 different splint methods were applied to all groups except control group. Before and after the periotests of each group were measured.

Results: The results of the study showed that the peri-test values were lower than the negative values in the groups except Ribbond (Group D) after the procedure. In addition, the most significant difference in periotest value was seen in Group D.

Conclusion: It is thought that ribbond splints should be preferred in the treatment of mobility in teeth due to trauma according to the data obtained in the study.

Bu in vitro çalışmamızın amacı klinik uygulamada
