The location of the original geography or homeland has been a determining factor in the discussions of national identity and national history after the National Struggle. The paradigm change, which emerged on a concrete ground with the proclamation of the Republic, constituted the political and sociological projection of the imagination of identity, whose borders are bound to certain land in the concept of homeland. In this context, the new identity imagination is intended to depend on the composition of identity-space-memory that will fulfil the agent/act relationship on a safe basis. In this atmosphere, the Anatolian Journal, published between April 1924 and March 1925, tried to present a framework regarding identity, history and geography through Anatolian thought. The purpose of this study is to examine how the approach to Anatolia in the magazine is shaped over the concept of safe geography. In the study in which the document analysis method was used, firstly the concept of safe geography was discussed on theoretical grounds. Later, in the light of the articles published in the Journal, when and how the Turkish identity, knowledge and experience were shaped in Anatolia, and what the perpetrators or acts were seen as a threat to the Turkish existence in Anatolia were determined. As the Turks became an independent nation and a permanent state, it was concluded that the great agent had experience and knowledge in Anatolian lands.
