The aim of the study is to examine the importance of factors affecting women's employment and whether these effects differ according to demographic characteristics or not is to be investigated specifically for Erzurum province. A survey research, one of the quantitative research methods, was used as a data collection tool in the process of obtaining information on the subject. The main body of the study consists of the female workforce employed in Erzurum central districts and 384 questionnaires were included in the analysis. In the analysis, firstly, a certain number of variables were grouped under 4 factor by factor analysis. Then, the relationship between the factors affecting women's employment and demographic characteristics was analyzed using a parametric method, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Findings show that role conflict is the most important factor affecting women's employment. The effect of role conflict differs according to the basic demographic characteristics of women such as age, education level, marital status and child ownership.
