Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı Kafkas Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi Uluslararası Ticaret ve Lojistik Bölümü 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin finansal okuryazarlık konusu hakkındaki görüşlerini tespit etmektir. Araştırmada açıklayıcı ve çıkarımsal kodlar kullanılarak kategoriler nitel olarak belirlenmiştir. Nitel veri analizi sonucunda; öğrencilerin %46’sının faiz geliri sorusunu doğru hesapladıkları, %92’sinin temel finansal kavramlar hakkında bilgi sahibi oldukları, %80’inin internet bankacılığı şifresini paylaşmaması gerekliliğinin bilincinde oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada ayrıca katılımcıların %94’ünün kolay tahmin edilmeyen şifre kullandıkları, %100’ü banka görevlileriyle şifre paylaşmadıkları, %84’ünün aylık bütçe hazırladıkları, %94’ünün sanal bankacılık (mobil, internet) kullandıkları, %86’sının alışveriş fiyat karşılaştırması yaptıkları, %84’ünün alışveriş ve para harcama konusunda mantıklı davrandıkları ve %92’sinin gelecekle ilgili finansal planlama yaptıkları görüşlerini bildirdikleri tespit edilmiştir.

DETERMINATION OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS 'OPINIONS ON FINANCIAL LITERACY

Öz

This study aims to determine the opinions of 4th year students of Department of International Trade and Logistics of Kafkas University, on financial literacy. In the research, the categories were determined qualitatively using descriptive and inferential codes. As a result of qualitative data analysis; It was determined that 46% of the students correctly calculated the interest income question, 92% were aware of the basic financial concepts, and 80% were aware that they should not share the internet banking password. According to outputs of the research, 94% of the participants used passwords that were not easily guessed, 100% do not share their passwords with bank officers, 84% prepared monthly budget, 94% uses virtual banking (mobile, internet), and 86% make price comparison, 84% of them pay attention to reasonable shopping and spending money, and 92% of them express their opinions about future financial planning.
