Among all individuals diagnosed with chronic diseases, psychosocial skills should be increased, which also affects the success of treatment in children and adolescents with chronic diseases due to longer life expectancy. Although the life expectancy of patients increases with the developments in medicine, the quality of life still continues to be a problem for chronic patients. In this context, both facilitating the adaptation and education process of the patients to the hospital starting with diagnosis and increasing their awareness are important elements of treatment and quality of life. It is aimed to reveal the relationship between "chronic disease and child" in accordance with the psychosocial needs, as well as the extensive literature review, the therapeutic approaches applied in the world, and the metaphors for the education of parents and society, especially the pediatric patient. 18 therapeutically used storybooks and two multiple storybooks therapeutic properties; The problem topic has been examined in terms of skill goal and expected results. It was determined that the problem topic of these widely used therapeutic books was on fear, death, disability, loss of self-esteem, anger, anxiety, depression and behavioral disorders. When skill goals were examined, it was about struggling, problem solving, anger management, acceptance of illness, awareness, self-confidence, and illness education. The expected results were on self-confidence, courage, problem solving, adaptation to illness, accepting support, fighting anxiety, internal adaptation, and social adaptation.
