This paper is written in order to investigate the effects of conflict and conflict management strategies on security personnel who are dealing with physical security of organizations. This line of work is selected especially for it’s high possibility of exposure to stressful situations and conflict, and it’s of great importance for the personnel to work as a team and in harmony. In order to assess the opinions of both personnel and managers on the causes, effects -whether positive or negative- on performance and solution strategies of conflicts and assess the impact of these strategies on their work performance, a series of arguments were directed to the participants. The personnel’s answers to these arguments are analyzed, using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). With this study, we wanted to test the mainstream conflict and work performance relationship opinions of management stragetists, on active security personnel in Turkey.
