ABTRACT
Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the epidemiological distribution of Covid-19 positive cases in rural areas and the relationship between health anxiety. Subjects and Metods: This study was carried out between 14 September 2020-14 November 2020. The population of the study consisted of 103 patients receiving inpatient treatment in the pandemic clinic. The data obtained at the end of the study were evaluated with SPSS 22.0. Results: The ages of the participants ranged between 18 and 84 years, and the arithmetic mean age was 41.79±14.08. The median value of the health anxiety scale is 16. The median value of the Health Anxiety Scale score of university graduates is 18 and the median value of high school graduates is 14. Among Covid-19 Positive Cases, university graduate has a statistically significant and positive effect on health anxiety. 46.6% of the participants stated that they had contact with someone diagnosed with Covid-19. The median value of the anxiety scale of those who stated that they constantly follow the news about COVID-19 during the day increases to 18, and it is seen that the anxiety level increases as the news about COVID-19 increases.Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between health anxiety and media use, and health education given to inpatients has caused anxiety levels to decrease.
