The purpose of this research is to investigate the thinking and the behaviors of the students attending pedagogical teacher certificate program about the environment according to their gender. In this sense, the research questions were constructed as below: Do the level of students’ behaviors towards environment change statistically according to their gender? Do the thinking levels of students about environment change statistically according to their gender? Relational screening model was used for the study. A total of 219 participants were included in the study of whom 159 (72.6%) were women, 60 (27.4%) were men. As a data collection tool, Environmental Attitude Scale was used for the study. Students fulfilled the scale individually. Independent samples t-test was used to analyze the data. Findings indicated that there is not a statistical difference between the levels of students’ behaviors towards environment according to their gender.. However, there is a statistical difference between the thinking levels of students about environment according to their gender. Men have a higher level of thinking about the environment than women have. In later studies, a larger sample can be examined with variables such as occupation, marital status, having/not having children, as well as gender.
