COVID-19 SÜRECİNİN TATİL DAVRANIŞINA ETKİSİ

Öz

Bu araştırmada bireylerin tatil sürecine COVID-19’un nasıl bir etki yaptığını anlamak amaçlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda 10 katılımcı ile daha önceden hazırlanan görüşme soruları bağlamında mülakatlar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma yöntemi olarak nitel araştırma deseni kullanılırken, veri toplama yöntemi olarak görüşme yönteminden faydalanılmıştır. Görüşme yöntemlerinden ise yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Katılımcılar ile yapılan görüşme esnasında ses kaydı cihazı kullanılmış, veriler kaydedilmiştir. Akabinde ise bu ses kayıtları kullanılarak cevaplar raporlanmış, raporlar içerik analizine tabi tutulmuş ve veriler kodlanmıştır. Kodlanmış veriler üzerinden ise değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı kapsamında katılımcılara tatil ve virüs kavramlarının çağrışımı ve geçmiş yıllardaki tatilleri hakkında sorular yöneltilmiştir. Ayrıca katılımcılara pandemi sonrası tatil planları sorulmuştur. Elde edilen bulgulara göre katılımcılar için tatil; denize girme ve dinlenmeyi çağrıştırmaktadır. Katılımcılar için virüs ise kaygı, hastalık ve kapanmayı çağrıştırmaktadır. Katılımcıların pandemi sonrası ise tatil planlarının değiştiği, daha önceden Antalya bölgesine deniz kum güneş üçlüsü amaçlı seyahat ettikleri ancak salgın sonrası bireyselleştirilmiş turizm planları yaptıkları anlaşılmıştır. Son olarak katılımcıların konaklama yeri olarak otelleri değil bungalov tipi özelleştirilmiş yerleri seçtikleri veya doğa kaynaklı konaklama ve tatil yaptıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

IMPACT OF COVID-19 PROCESS ON VACATION BEHAVIOR

Öz

In this study, it is aimed to understand how COVID-19 affects the holiday process of individuals. In this context, interviews were conducted with 10 participants in the context of previously prepared interview questions. While qualitative research design was used as the research method, the interview method was used as the data collection method. One of the interview methods, semi-structured interview technique was used. During the interview with the participants, a voice recorder was used, and the data were recorded. Afterwards, the answers were reported using these voice recordings, the reports were subjected to content analysis and the data were coded. Evaluation was made on the coded data. Within the scope of the purpose of the research, questions were asked to the participants about the connotation of the concepts of holiday and virus and their holidays in the past years. In addition, the participants were asked about their vacation plans after the pandemic. According to the findings, vacation for the participants; It evokes swimming and relaxation. For participants, the virus evokes anxiety, illness, and closure. It was understood that the holiday plans of the participants changed after the pandemic, they had previously traveled to the Antalya region for the purpose of sea-sand-sun trio, but they made individualized tourism plans after the epidemic. Finally, it was concluded that the participants chose private bungalow-type places, rather than hotels, or they had nature-based accommodation and vacations.
