Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is described as a condition where the symptoms of inattention and/or hyperactivity and impulsivity are experienced more severely, constantly or frequently compared to individuals in similar age and developmental levels .Information to be obtained from the teachers are important in terms of making a final diagnosis, supporting children to overcome the difficulties in their school life, determining the treatment and other diseases that accompany this disorder. It is thought that teachers’ efforts of identifying, knowing the ADHD and adopting a positive and supportive attitude toward children will increase the opportunity for children to struggle with this disorder. Thus, this study was conducted for the purpose of determining the attitudes of preservice teachers toward the ADHD. The study sample consisted of 78 senior students studying science and preschool education. The data were collected by using personal information form and Society Attitudes Scale for Individuals with Mental Problems (SASIMP). The data were evaluated in the computer environment and analyzed by using number, percentage, mean values, one way anova and independent samples t-test. It was determined that students had an age average of 22,88±1,61 and 72,5% were female. Students obtained a total score of 51,91±9,46 from the SASIMP (minimum:31, maximum: 69).
