Millions of people in the world have had to leave their homes and forced to live elsewhere. There are many causes of mass migration such as wars, political and ethnic/ sectarion conflicts, climate, economic conditions. There are civil wars and conflicts in many parts of the world, especially in the Middle East. Thousands of people have to leave their homelands because of the war in Syria. After the war started in Syria in 2011, nearly 5 million people had to migrateto neighbouring countries for safety (Emin, 2016). Thus, in terms of Turkey, the relationship between the groups has gained a new dimension and a new social identity that the Turkish citizens would contact both psychologically and socially is emerged: Syrian refugees. From the observation that the increasing discriminatory and alienating discourses towards Syrians have increased in recent years, the study aims to examine attitude of internal group (Turkish citizens) towards external group (Syrian refugees) in the context of alienating practices. The study bases on result of interviews with university student. Interviews are evaluated with content analysis method.
