Despite the widespread use of statistical methods in different fields, the employment of statisticians in Turkey has not reached the desired level, yet. Statistics education in Turkey is given in four-year undergraduate programs of universities. Statistics graduates can be employed with different titles in different sectors. In this study, qualifications required for the employment of statistics graduates have been tried to determine using the job postings in the career sites. Within the scope of the study, job postings published in different career sites from Turkey over a period of four months were examined. Also, job postings published in career sites from the USA were used for the purpose of comparing some qualifications. Job posts were converted to structural format using 80 variables. According to the findings obtained, the first two sectors that the statistics graduates can be employed in Turkey are insurance-banking and information technology sectors. It was obtained that the most important qualification sought in candidates was the use of computational tools. As a result of the findings, it can be said that the expectations of the employers were different from the goals of the statistics undergraduate programs.
