GÜVENLİK PERSONELİNİN RİSK ALMA EĞİLİMİ

Öz

Güvenlik sektörü çalışanlarının bireysel düzeydeki eylemlerinde
istikrarlı ve güvenilir çalışanlar olmaları, bununla birlikte kabul edilebilir
ölçülerde risk almaları sektörün geleceği ve toplumun güvenliği için önemli bir
konu olarak düşünülebilir. Bu araştırma ile güvenlik sektörü çalışanlarının
performansları ile risk alma eğilimleri arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesi
amaçlanmıştır. İlişkisel tarama yöntemi kullanılan araştırmanın çalışma grubunu
bir güvenlik kuruluşunun Türkiye’nin çeşitli illerinde görev yapan 662 yetişkin
çalışanı oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcıların 642’si (%97) erkek, 20’si (%3)
kadındır. Çalışma grubu yaşları 23 ile 56 arasında değişen yetişkinlerden
oluşturulmuş ve yaş ortalaması 34,62’dir. Araştırma sürecinde veriler
katılımcının bilgisayar sistemi ile risk alma tercihi (RISIKO) testine tabi
tutulması ve eş zamanlı olarak katılımcıya ilişkin bilgi toplama formunun
personel özlük dosyalarından faydalanılarak amir tarafından doldurulması
yoluyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Çok Bağımlı Değişkenli Varyans
Analizi (MANOVA) ve bağımsız değişkenlerin bağımlı değişken üzerinde etkisini
belirlemek amacıyla post-hoc testlerden biri olan Tukey testi kullanılmıştır.
Araştırma sonucunda risk alma eğilimlerine göre; yönetici yetkinlik puanlarının
ve yönetici güvenirlik puanlarının anlamlı düzeyde fark gösterdiği bulunmuştur.
Ancak disiplin ceza durumu ve ödül durumu ile kurs ve tazeleme eğitimi başarısı
açısından anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır.
