Emmerich-A Metodu invert şeker toplam şeker sedimanlarda şeker Karamık Gölü
Some part of saccarites forming by decomposition of organic materials in the modern enviroments might be free through the diagenesis process, but the rest of them are remained as mono, di and polysaccarite. By coverting them to invert sugar by the Emmerich-A method, these relicts could be analyzed as total sugar by the chromatography technique with a detection limit of %0-0.025. In the first part of method, sugar is dissolved in hot water. By adding of 3,6-dinitrofitalic acid and alkali solutions it is transformed to the orange colored azo-compounds in nitrogen medium Finally, invert sugar content is determined in 450 nm by the photometric method. The total sugar content is one of the important parameter as biomarker, which indicates the diagenetic evolution of basin, in geological researchs. As an example, the inverted sugar content of 2 bottom sediments (S1-4, S2-4) from Karamık Lake are 11,424 and 7,038 ppm, respectively. The variation of invert sugar values indicate that, the activities of microorganisms in diffent parts of the lake is variable. It can be concluded that, high activities of microorganisms resulted production of high amount of invert sugar due to the decaying processes of organic matter and vice versa.
