Konum Tabanlı Bir Coğrafya Oyunu: Yer-Kutu-Keşfet (Instructional Geocaching)

Öz

Bu çalışmada henüz eğitim ortamlarında pek tanınmayan
Yer-Kutu-Keşfet (Instructional Geocaching) oyunu tanıtılmış ve eğitim
potansiyelleri ortaya konulmuştur. Alanyazında çoğunlukla konum tabanlı bir
coğrafya oyunu olarak nitelendirilen Yer-Kutu-Keşfet (YKK), dünyada
rekreasyonel amaçlı olarak yürütülen ve GPS teknolojisi kullanan Geocaching’in
eğitim amaçlı kullanımıdır. Coğrafya başta olmak üzere hemen her disiplinde
uygulanabilme imkânı olmasına karşın, YKK’nın öğrenmeye olan etkileri konusunda
yeterli örnek ve akademik çalışma mevcut değildir. Bu nedenle oyunun ilgili
olduğu öğrenme kuramları ve çalışmalar değerlendirilmiş ve ardından
eğitimcilere yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur
