Turkish sociology has shown changes in its methodological orientations according to social developments during the process from its establishment to its development. The sociological paradigm, which was influenced by the Continental European sociological understanding as of its establishment, especially the method of Durkheim, which was based on the understanding of solidarity (consensus) as a solution for social problems. It developed under the hegemony of the American culture, which was dominant after the World War II, especially as of the Cold War. Within the framework of the method and technique used in the studies for social sciences, it has also caused a change on the study subjects. In this study, the studies conducted with the "sociometry method" introduced to our country by Nurettin Şazi Kösemihal, who tried to bring these studies to practice and why micro-studies gained importance in Turkish sociology in the 1950s, were examined. With the examination of undergraduate graduation theses made with the sociometry method, which was put forward in line with the teachings of Kösemihal, who made this method known in our country and started to teach in the lessons in the applied sociology certificate, it was determined through the theses that what kind of sociological events became a social problem during the period. The main reason why Kösemihal was so oriented towards sociometry in his studies after the 1950s is that this method provides the opportunity to reach extremely important results from small groups and events. Kösemihal's interest in this method also attracted the attention of sociometry that it reveals the problem as it is, that is, makes the problem visible through the animation of the people. Sociometry has mostly found application in institutions such as factories, schools, orphanages and has tried to reveal the interactions that occur within these areas through in-depth observation.

In the study, undergraduate graduation theses made with the sociometry method, which were put forward in line with the teachings of Kösemihal, who made this method known in our country and started to teach in the experiential sociology certificate, were examined and it was determined through the theses that which events became a social problem during the period. The main reason why Kösemihal was so interested in sociometry in the studies of this period is that this method's ability to reach extremely important results from small groups and events draws attention in the studies. The aspect of sociometry, revealing the problem as it is through the animation of the people, that is, making the problem visible, caused him to be interested in this method. Considering the application area of sociometric studies, there have been institutions such as factories, schools and orphanages.
